Dr. Kelsey Rockey was born in California, but spent most of her childhood in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where her father worked as a hospital physician. This planted the seed for her interest in the medical field. After attending Boston College and receiving her Bachelor's degree in biology, she migrated to the Lone Star state to complete her dental degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. After her graduation in 2015, Dr. Rockey completed a competitive one-year program of Advanced Education in General Dentistry in order to broaden her treatment spectrum and be able to provide more comprehensive care for her patients. This residency included training in IV conscious sedation, molar endodontics (root canals), implant dentistry, periodontal surgery, and comprehensive treatment planning.
Dr. Rockey is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Virginia Dental Association and strongly believes that evidence-based dentistry and continuing education are essential to providing the best possible treatment for her patients. She is committed to providing the most advanced quality care possible and doing it in a kind, gentle manner. Dr. Rockey looks forward to getting to know each of her patients and forming long lasting friendships with her "dental family." ¡Ella habla Español!
In her free time Dr. Rockey enjoys playing golf with her family, traveling, and baking (she makes awesome chocolate chip cookies – just ask our team!). Dr. Rockey followed her husband Carl to the Harrisonburg area, where he teaches finance and banking courses at James Madison University. They are both excited to be back on the East coast and closer to their families. Dr. Rockey is looking forward to getting to know the Shenandoah Valley and becoming a part of this wonderful community. She looks forward to meeting each of you and sharing her passion for healthy, beautiful smiles.
